How to Speed Up Your Computer Part 2: Disk Defragmenter
Note: This is from Windows XP interface
1. Open your C drive properties and click the ‘Tools’ tab.
2. Proceed to ‘ Defragment now…’ button.
3. The Disk Defragmenter window will appear, click the button ‘Defragment’.
(Disk defragmenter will analyze first and then will defrag your hard disk)
4. The highlighted drive C is the drive that had done defragmentation.
(If you have more than one hard disk, you can only select one at a time.
You can view the progress at the bottom of the window.
5. Once the defragmentation is complete, a pop-up menu will appear.
To display detailed information about the defragmented disk or partition, click ‘View Report’ or click ‘Close’.
